Software Engineer II

What are we looking to add to our team?    

As a Software Engineer II, your work will involve creating data pipelines, core search infrastructure, and API development. The components and algorithms you design will handle billions of transactions and do so with sub-second latency and in a fault tolerant manner. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling large scale challenges and building platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude.  

What you will be doing: 

  • Leading the development of major software components, systems, and features 
  • Building high scale, low latency infrastructure and APIs 
  • Driving features end-to-end from ideation to delivery, working closely with other Engineers and Product Managers 
  • Working across Project Management, Product and Engineering teams to design and build features 
  • Taking ownership of a feature area and delivering consistent improvements 
  • Writing clean code with unit tests 
  • Participating in code reviews 

You will be a great match if you have: 

  • Belief in Kindness, Gratitude, and Curiosity!    
  • At least 3-5 years of software engineering experience focused on building robust services in cloud environments 
  • Experience working in object-oriented programming languages, such as C# or Java 
  • Software Engineering experience across multiple complete software development lifecycles 
  • Experience building cloud based production infrastructure with Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
