Our partner is seeking a creative and analytical Software Engineer II to join their growing Information Technology teams and help improve their products and processes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about software engineering, with a strong team mentality and a focus on design and quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications.
- Perform routine programming assignments under supervision.
- Develop an understanding of assigned applications, standards, techniques, and business knowledge.
- Demonstrate understanding of departmental procedures and programming standards.
- Conduct unit testing as applicable.
- Provide time estimates for assigned tasks and compare estimates to actual time spent to improve accuracy.
- Recommend improvements for applications.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Mentor junior Software Engineers.
- Refactor legacy components as needed.
- Communicate directly with product owners and end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of programming experience in at least one of the following: C#, C++, ASP.Net, VB.Net, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with technologies such as Node.js, XML, Angular, Ember, .NET MVC, Web API.
- Experience with API development and integration for CRM applications.
- Experience with SQL, including writing stored procedures and optimization.
- Experience working in agile methodology with CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM is a plus.
- Ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced development cycle.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles such as Agile or SCRUM.
- Ability to design and architect moderate complexity web components.
- Familiarity with software design patterns and SOLID design principles.
