As a Software Engineer for Growth Products at Workato, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing cutting-edge solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to drive automation and innovation. Your extensive experience in software engineering, coupled with your passion for AI technologies, will drive the evolution of our GenAI App Platform - built on Workato’s core Enterprise Orchestration platform.
In this role, you will also be responsible to:
Gain comprehensive expertise in Workato and build solutions that democratize AI, making it easily accessible and usable by both technical experts and business users.
Actively monitor the latest developments in GenAI technologies to identify opportunities for enhancing and upgrading our platform, ensuring it remains at the cutting edge of AI-driven automation and innovation.
Contribute to cross-functional projects with product management, design, and other engineering teams.
Apply quality assurance practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and active participation in debugging and troubleshooting.
Collaborate closely with go-to-market teams, providing essential support during product launches.
Proven experience in building GenAI-based bots/agents, with a portfolio or examples of past projects
Hands-on experience with leading Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI's GPT, Claude by Anthropic, Gemini by Google, and AI agent technologies including OpenAI Assistants, LangChain Agents, Microsoft AutoGen, and Google VertexAI. Familiarity with these platforms and the ability to leverage them in building advanced AI solutions will be considered a significant plus.
3-6 years of experience in a role such as Software Engineer, Architect or a similar capacity.
Strong proficiency in agile methodologies, embodying principles of adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, and continuous improvement.
Expertise in scripting and coding with a strong foundation in GenAI concepts; proficient in languages such as Ruby, Python, or Java.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (MBA preferred).
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings and communicate complex ideas clearly.
