Coinbase is seeking aspiring engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud.
The Coinbase Wallet engineers strive to make the Coinbase Wallet app the easiest-to-use and fastest experience for accessing the crypto. Wallet is the future of web3 and of Coinbase.
Join Coinbase's Country Expansion team to influence the future of cryptocurrency adoption in Argentina. Collaborate with the country manager, product managers, and cross-functional teams to customize the Coinbase Wallet app, tailoring it to the Argentina market and strategically shaping Coinbase's presence through innovative features and a customer-first approach.
What you'll be doing:
- You will write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers
- You will execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help Coinbase fulfill its mission to increase economic freedom in the world integrating with your local community and recommending changes based on feedback
- You will independently take ownership over the completion and quality of your tasks and projects
- Show bias for action, and data-driven decisions to experiment new solutions as fast as possible
- You will be collaborating with the country manager, other engineers, product managers and designers at Coinbase both in the US and in Argentina
What we look for in you:
- You have at least 5-10 years of experience in software engineering and at least 3-5 years of experience in developing complex React Native & React mobile apps as well as experience writing backend code (Golang preferred)
- You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
- You build resilient mobile apps
- You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in mobile architecture, including performance, security and usability.
- You’re excited about tackling complex problems, getting things done quickly and adapting to change
- You’re familiar with product and design life cycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
- You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
- You're an excellent verbal and written communicator in English and Spanish
Nice to haves:
- You graduated university and up to 5-10 years of industry experience
- You have worked remotely for companies in the US
- You’ve worked on engineering teams in the finance or blockchain space
- You are passionate about blockchain technology and a power user of crypto exchange applications or dapps
