We’re looking for a Software Engineer 3 to join our team and deliver software solutions that impact thousands of students and educators nationwide.
What Winning Looks Like:
- Writing, testing, and shipping high-quality code, contributing to the creation of digital products that will change the lives of the next generation.
- Working within architectural designs to build features and services for Ramsey Ed’s LMS platform.
- Developing software solutions that are both scalable and maintainable, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Focus on writing thorough integration tests and documentation, ensuring solutions are well-tested and shareable.
- Constantly growing in your understanding of Ramsey Ed products, applying business knowledge when designing technical solutions.
- Participating in user interviews to uncover pain points and contribute to meaningful product improvements.
- Partnering with fellow engineers to improve the overall skillset of the team through knowledge sharing.
Skills Needed to Win:
- 4+ years of proven experience in software engineering, specifically within Java, Ruby on Rails, or Kotlin highly preferred.
- A team player who thrives in cross-functional settings, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Able to think creatively and use technology to solve real business challenges.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage beyond code with other team members to align with business goals.
- Comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities and evolving needs.
- Willing to listen, learn, and work toward common goals with humility and flexibility.
