Salary: 1600 - 1900 USD/month

A dynamic and leading company specializing in integrated talent management and learning solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Software Documentation Specialist. This company focuses on providing robust, scalable software that helps organizations streamline their workforce development. This role is crucial in ensuring clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation for both internal teams and external users to effectively understand and utilize software solutions.

The Software Documentation Specialist will collaborate with teams across product management, development, and customer support to create and maintain comprehensive user guides, release notes, and other technical materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, release notes, online help, and API documentation.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and customer support teams to gather technical details required for documentation.
  • Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
  • Organize and structure content for clarity, ensuring it is both concise and user-friendly for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and best practices in technical writing.
  • Track product changes and ensure timely integration of updates into documentation.
  • Create visual aids such as diagrams and screenshots to enhance understanding of technical content.
  • Manage documentation projects, including timelines and deliverables, to meet product release schedules.
  • Provide support and guidance to internal teams and customers regarding documentation-related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in technical writing or software documentation, ideally within a technology or software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, programming concepts, and technical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and platforms like Confluence or MadCap Flare.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
