What we’re looking for You are a talented, creative, and motivated front-end web engineer who loves developing intuitive, user-friendly, and modern-looking web interfaces using state-of-the-art technologies for our apps – and you are excited to work with a team of individuals with the same passion. You have accumulated years of experience and are excited about taking our mastery of React.js, Redux, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Material-UI, Webpack, etc., to a new level. You enjoy challenging projects involving green fields and existing applications and are calm under pressure. You are no stranger to fast-paced environments and agile development methodologies. You embrace them. With your strong analytical skills, unwavering commitment to quality, excellent technical skills, and collaborative work ethic, you will do great things at Anywhere®. What you’ll do As a Front-End Web Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing fast, intuitive, and modern web applications. You will build high-quality user experiences for thousands of agents, brokers, and users, directly impacting millions of home buyers and sellers. The primary focus will be designing, developing, and testing scalable, reusable web components using React.js. You will collaborate with talented engineers, product managers, and designers to define and develop data products and features. While your primary responsibility is front-end development, you'll have the opportunity to learn and work with backend technologies like Golang over time, broadening your skill set. Full-stack development experience is a big plus and will be highly valued as you will have the flexibility to work across the stack.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize responsive, modern Web applications using React.js.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that enhance the user experience.
  • Own features from design to deployment, ensuring they meet performance and scalability standards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Web components for performance and security.
  • Prototype new features and technologies to delight users and align with business goals.
  • Set up and deploy web applications using AWS Amplify (experience with this is a plus).
  • Contribute to code quality through code reviews, documentation, and test-driven development (TDD) practices using tools such as Jest and Cypress.
  • Familiarity with BDD tools like Gherkin and Cucumber is a plus.
  • Be open to learning backend languages and infrastructure, such as Golang and AWS Cloud services. Full-stack experience is a big plus.
  • Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience with JavaScript.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with React.js and responsive web design.
  • 2 years of experience with Redux and API integration.
  • Proficient in testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, or Enzyme.
  • Experience with Material-UI and Webpack optimization techniques.
  • Experience with React-Okta is a plus.
  • Understanding of AWS cloud services such as CloudWatch, ECS, and Load Balancers.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools for deploying services.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, particularly with performance optimization.
  • Ability to iterate quickly in an agile development process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full-stack development experience is a big plus and will be highly valued.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for learning new technologies, especially backend languages like Golang.
