We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic Quality Engineering team. As a Senior SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile, web, and desktop applications. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using WebDriverIO and similar tools. Your deep understanding of test automation, coupled with your expertise in various testing methodologies, will be essential in delivering high-quality software products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.

What you will do
- Testing Automation Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile, web, and desktop applications using WebDriverIO and other relevant frameworks.
- Create and manage test automation frameworks that are scalable, reusable, and easy to maintain.
- Implement best practices for test automation and continuously improve the automation process.
- Testing Strategy & Execution:
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Perform both manual and automated testing, as necessary, to ensure the highest quality of the applications.
- Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure quick feedback and efficient release cycles.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to implement and maintain test automation in CI/CD environments.
- Mentorship & Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices within the test automation team.
- Defect Tracking & Resolution:
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze test results and provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to the development teams.
- Performance & Security Testing:
- Contribute to performance testing efforts to ensure applications meet performance criteria.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement security testing practices and ensure the robustness of the applications.
What you need to be successful
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation, with a focus on mobile, web, and desktop applications.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in WebDriverIO and other test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., TestRail, JIRA) and defect tracking systems.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing tools and techniques.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Mocha).
- Familiarity with mobile testing tools like Appium, XCUITest, and Espresso.
- Experience in testing microservices and API integrations.
