Position Overview:
We are seeking Software Developers to join a cross-functional team in Chantilly, VA. As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with developers, testers, cloud engineers, and security engineers to develop and sustain a large-scale, user-facing application and associated services in an AWS environment. You will play a key role in maintaining and extending the existing codebase, while presenting innovative solutions to enhance application resilience, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery to mission customers.
Active security clearance with full scope polygraph required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications and services in Java, and at least one of Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- Design and develop cloud-native applications and services to run efficiently in AWS cloud environments.
- Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm for deployment and management.
- Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL (preferred) or MySQL, document databases such as Elasticsearch or Solr, or big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, or Spark.
- Extend and optimize applications running in Linux-based environments.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using Git-based workflows in an agile environment.
- Present innovative solutions to improve application resilience, performance, and reduce operational costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 3+ years of experience for senior level, 8+ years for expert level, or 13+ years for subject matter expert level.
- Proven experience developing applications and services in Java, and at least one of Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications in cloud-native environments, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), document databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), or big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark).
- Proficiency in working with Git and Agile methodologies for software development.
- Active security clearance with full scope polygraph required.

Salary Range:

Senior Level: $155,000 - $180,000

Expert Level: $210,000 - $228,000
