Software Developers-- We’re building a dynamic engineering team supporting the premier USCYBERCOM infrastructure program. Seeking candidates who are highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing, deploying and maintaining advanced, complex operational networks. Seeking talent for the Lorton, VA area.  These are full time positions with hybrid work potential, and available upon award in June 2024. Clearance requirement: Active Secret clearance.

Duties involved:

• The Front-end Developer is responsible for implementing and optimizing the user interface components of the application. Their expertise in front-end technologies ensures a seamless and responsive user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Core Application Developers: A team of software developers, ranging from entry level to senior, is essential for transitioning, modernizing, and sustaining the main code base of the application. They collaborate to implement new features, enhance existing functionality, and address any technical debt to ensure the application meets evolving mission requirements.
• Transition activities include requirement reviews and assessments, backlog reviews, documentation review, development environment and tooling standup.
• Supports demonstrations at sprint and product increment reviews.

Clearance requirement: Active Secret minimum

Four (4) year college degree in software development or computer science, and five (5) years' experience of software development for systems in a production environment, or in lieu of education ten (10) years of experience of software development for systems in a production environment.

Must be familiar with a variety of scripts, programming languages, and operating systems. Examples of relevant computer programming languages currently used to design and deploy components that include, but are not limited to: C#, Python, PowerShell, ASP.NET, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Microservices Architecture

Experience to include:

  • Identifying technical strategies to interconnect disparate software applications by authoring original software programs
  • Designing and authoring original software applications from a high level, non-specific set of concepts provided by the government
  • Writing programs that achieve a desired outcome or workflow from nothing more than observation of desired outcomes, workflows, or from vague original concepts #CJ
  • Producing specifications and design documentation including: Process flow, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, physical architecture, system and web service interface specifications, data dictionary, data model
  • Creating project work estimates
  • Implementing solutions and identify operational or management issues
  • Systems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface development
  • Utilizing available Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary system
