· Reporting to the Social Performance Manager, the CLO is expected to cover the following roles and responsibilities:
· Liaise with other company functions to ensure minimal discharge of effluent, waste and other toxic materials from company operation to communities and environment.
· Interact with the local community on daily basis and report to the CLO/DGM/Head, SP on findings.
· Relay important information to traditional/Community Leaders as may be directed.
· Sensitize/Liaise with Youth groups to determine their yearnings/expectations
· Participate in Community meetings and brief the CLO or the Head, SP
· Support the Company Security/Community Vigilantes to identify criminal elements and monitor their activities.
· Provide information on important events within the Communities that need participation by the Company.
· Represent the CLO in his absence.
· Distribution of seasonal gift items.
· Carry out investigations into alleged grievances to establish authenticity of claims.
· Monitor blasting activities and report on outcomes.
· Monitor and report to management, the status of community and community related behaviours /restiveness in our areas of operations...
· Ensure that community projects are executed in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
· Provide support to the Manager in the delivery of good community relations between DCP and its catchment communities.
· This is to ensure successful implementation of social policies and strategic objectives in the areas of community relations and development.
Requirements
· BSc/HND in Business Administration, social science Management, Sociology, economics and related
· Must have minimum of 2 years of experience in Community Relation/social performance
