Who we are
We're building a prayer and meditation app. One that is authentically Christian and Catholic, while at the same time a resource for anyone looking to grow deeper in a relationship with God. We believe that people are hungry for peace, and that there is no surer way to find it than by learning to sit in silence with Christ: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).
Our goal is to build something truly great. Something that combines the beauty of the Church’s spirituality with world-class product and content execution.
We launched the app in December of 2018 and have been blown away with the incredible growth & traction. Hallow has been downloaded over 15 million times with over 250,000 5-star reviews. We're blessed to be backed by some of the best mission-driven investors in the world and are excited to build out the team to help a lot more folks grow closer to God.
We are a startup. We move quickly and take big swings. We are a small and fast moving team and each person is responsible for making an impact. It is hard work, but also deeply meaningful. We’d be honored & humbled if you’d consider joining us.
TLDR; We’re looking for someone to coordinate, manage, and develop our social media channels. Social media marketing is an integral part of Hallow’s brand. You’ll manage our Instagram and Facebook accounts, which are nearing 1M followers, with the opportunity to expand and grow into more channels. This role will sit at the crossroads of Marketing, Design, and Content in this highly cross-functional and dynamic position. Open to candidates seeking full-time or part-time work.
What You'll Do:
-
Plan & collaborate: You’ll work cross-functionally within the Marketing Team and across the wider company - working across social media channels and coordinating content launches and campaigns. You’ll also work closely with the Content and Design teams to plan content calendars and strategize in line with the release calendar.
-
Project Manage: You’ll maintain and strategize our social media marketing channels. You’ll create briefs and strategize for copywriting, brand, and art direction.
-
Write: A core part of social media marketing is writing content. You’ll master the brand voice, looking to helping share Hallow’s mission to help people pray.
What We're Looking For:
-
Passion: First & foremost, we’re looking for someone excited about our mission. It makes it a lot more fun :)
-
Experience: Must have experience in managing a 100k+ following brand on social media and have 2+ years of experience in social media creative, content, strategy, or management.
-
Creativity: We’re always looking for ways to reach people and help them find more peace in their lives and grow closer to God. The social media landscape is constantly changing, and we want to find ways to stand out and help folks find God’s peace. You’re not afraid to share ideas and try new things, while also leaning into the data side of things!
-
Detail-oriented: Social media is in the details but also the big picture. You pay attention to details and nuances but know when to step back and look at the greater story.
-
Hustle: A core value to Hallow’s mission, we work hard and try to build as fast as we can. Our goal is to build the highest quality deliverables at incredible speeds.
What You’ll Love
-
Mission: This work is incredibly humbling. Every day we hear amazing stories and we get the pleasure of working on something that’s impacting lives.
-
Ownership: You’ll play a central role in crafting copy and strategy in our social media and lifecycle marketing channels, reaching millions of folks week after week.
-
Growth: You’ll be part of a fast-paced marketing team at a start-up. Each week looks different! Over the next couple of years, we plan to expand the company significantly, and we’ll need your help to set the tone for how we’ll continue to reach folks all over the world.
We are honored that you'd consider joining the team and look forward to connecting with you.
Best,
Alex at Hallow
