POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Coordinator will play a vital role in developing and implementing customized social media strategies across various platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This role requires extensive collaboration both within and outside the department to ensure alignment between social media initiatives and overarching campaigns, while also staying abreast of industry trends and competitor activities. Moreover, the position involves significant responsibilities in content creation, nurturing influencer relationships, and fostering community engagement efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in crafting and implementing social media strategies tailored to each brand's objectives, focusing on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Create and manage captivating content across various social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between social media efforts and broader marketing campaigns.
- Stay updated on social media trends and competitor activities to identify optimization opportunities and keep abreast of changes in best practices and platform guidelines.
- Learn and apply content scheduling techniques and assist in managing monthly content calendars.
- Support asset creation efforts by participating in brainstorming sessions and coordinating with external partners like photographers and content creators.
- Contribute to building influencer relationships and executing engagement-boosting initiatives like giveaways and contests.
- Assist in exploring brand partnership opportunities to enhance follower growth and expand brand visibility.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for earned/owned strategies and help maintain performance scorecards for brand objectives.
- Aid in managing social media budgets and resource allocation to maximize impact.
- Monitor and analyze user-generated content and online discussions relevant to our brand, providing insights for brand reputation management.
- Engage with online communities by responding to comments and inquiries in collaboration with customer support and marketing teams.
- Exemplify adherence to company policies and procedures while consistently upholding high standards in all responsibilities.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to meeting organizational needs.
- Attendance to events/tradeshows is required for this position. These events/tradeshows may require travel and may be outside of normal business day/hours.
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field; or equivalent experience is required.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a social media content creator, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Experience in capturing short-form video and still content (i.e., BTS content, Reels, Stories) using native platform or best-in-class third party applications.
- Experience in managing influencer and content campaigns is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
