JOB SUMMARY

Elite Tournaments is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and others. The Social Media Coordinator will create and curate engaging content, monitor online conversations, analyze performance metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance brand visibility and engagement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ADMINISTRATIVE & ANALYTICAL

  • Develop a content calendar for Elite Tournaments and individual events.
  • Organize and schedule posts across multiple social media platforms, ensuring timely and consistent content delivery.
  • Track, measure, and analyze social media performance using insights and analytics tools to refine strategies and improve results.
  • Regularly monitor the performance of paid and organic campaigns, providing reports to evaluate ROI and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Use analytics to assess audience engagement and adjust content and campaign strategies to improve metrics such as reach, engagement, and conversion.

MARKETING:

  • Develop and execute social media campaigns that align with event goals, helping to drive awareness and attendee engagement
  • Ensure all social media content aligns with the company’s overall brand guidelines and event themes, maintaining a cohesive look and tone across all platforms.
  • Stay current with the latest social media trends, event industry news, and platform algorithm changes to keep content innovative and engaging.
  • Assist with graphics requested from the tournament directors on upcoming deadlines, etc.
  • Create custom graphics and promotional materials to accompany social media posts
  • Produce and edit video content for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube that promote event highlights
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of freelance photographers and videographers for applicable events.
  • Supervise and mentor Content Creator Interns, assigning tasks, providing feedback, and ensuring content aligns with brand standards and social media strategy.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Create engaging, on-brand social media posts, graphics, videos, and stories to promote upcoming events and engage the audience.
  • Actively monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers to build and maintain a positive online community.
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Tournament Directors, and Operations teams to ensure social media messaging is aligned with overall event strategies and marketing efforts. 
  • Act as the brand’s voice online, ensuring consistent and positive messaging that resonates with different audiences and encourages participation in events.
  • Respond to questions or comments from event attendees and followers in a timely and professional manner, fostering a sense of community around the brand.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Assist in preparation and organization of all Elite Tournaments and Elite Promotion Events.
  • Work on site for Elite Tournaments and Elite Promotion events.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Extensive knowledge of the youth sports landscape and particularly the youth lacrosse and youth soccer tournament, club, sector, and demographic in the United States
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Effective organizational skills for management of multiple tasks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in operation of sporting events, leagues, facilities, and/or professional teams

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Advanced knowledge of products in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software and Canva
  • Preferred knowledge of graphic design and video editing
  • Knowledge of GotSport software application, or other applicable registration software

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work weekends, irregular hours, and travel as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check
