We are looking for a creative and experienced Social Media Manager to manage our brand’s expansion across digital platforms in Senegal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing successful social media campaigns, deep familiarity with the Senegalese market, and fluency in English and French. This role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to connect with a diverse audience to drive brand engagement and growth. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Design and execute innovative social media strategies tailored to engage the Senegalese audience and align with the company’s goals. 
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation, scheduling, and publishing of high-quality, relevant, and engaging content (visuals, videos, and text). 
  • Community Engagement: Foster and manage interactions across social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and mentions to build brand loyalty and trust. 
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media initiatives and inform future strategies. 
  • Stay Informed: Monitor trends in social media, pop culture, and the competitive landscape within Senegal to keep content fresh and relevant. 
  • Work closely with marketing, creative, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging and campaigns across all touchpoints. 

Requirements

    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in social media management, with a portfolio demonstrating campaigns, preferably within Senegal. 
    • Language: Fluency in English (essential); proficiency in French is a plus. 
    • Market Understanding: In-depth knowledge of the Senegalese audience’s cultural nuances, online behavior, and preferences. 
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in social media management tools, content scheduling platforms, and analytics tools. 
    • Creativity and Adaptability: Strong creative vision paired with the ability to pivot strategies based on real-time insights. 
    • Communication and Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of leading social media initiatives and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
