About this role: 

Social, content and influence have never been more crucial for clients. Authentic and intentional engagement across social platforms helps brands connect with their audiences, driving both brand advocacy and sales. This role offers the opportunity to work on the most exciting and high-growth client within Ogilvy and is supported by senior leadership across the Network.

As the Social & Influence Client Partner, you will be responsible for leading the Social and Influence workstreams within an integrated WPP inter-agency model that brings together the best of the Network for Google Pixel. You will be directly responsible as the POC for senior client relationships, strategic ideation and project management of influencer and social projects as well as leading the Google Pixel UK influence and social proposition, working into the Managing Partner. You’ll manage a mid-size team to activate social first campaigns and ‘best in class’ influence programmes, building the brand in culture, whilst activating across a content calendar with lifestyle and football creators.

This position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in social media and influencer marketing, capable of managing content and campaigns that build brand advocacy while driving tangible business results. You will be responsible for steering processes and ways of working internally, with agency partners, and with clients. Your experience and confidence will enable you to hold your own in strategic conversations, inspire creative excellence, and push for innovative solutions. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with senior stakeholders.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about influencer marketing and social media, with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as a key leader within an integrated WPP agency model for Google Pixel, spearheading Social & Influence workstreams and leading inter-agency meetings. Work closely with peers in Advertising, Media, and Production.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of Social & Influencer Directors, Managers, and Executives to execute ongoing social and influencer campaigns. Manage the team to deliver best-in-class social content and ensure it is performing effectively.
  • Campaign Strategy: Develop and drive the social and influencer strategy for the brand, setting objectives, creating action plans, managing content calendars, and overseeing budgets. Ensure integration across paid media, PR, brand activation, and other stakeholders.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and build successful relationships with senior clients, acting as a trusted partner. Confidently lead strategic conversations, problem-solve in real-time, and present creative solutions to clients.
  • Content and Campaign Management: Oversee the management of content and campaigns that build brand advocacy and drive social growth across Google Pixel channels. Ensure content is optimised and performing effectively, leveraging insights from research and data teams.
  • Financial & Commercial Management: Oversee revenue and budget management across the account. Work with project managers to ensure campaigns are delivered on budget and on time. Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in managing resources and driving growth.
  • Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with strategy, creative, and production teams to deliver innovative social content. Act as a champion for the craft, inspiring others to achieve creative excellence.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about cultural and influence trends, customer attitudes, and industry developments. Use this knowledge to inform campaign strategies and execution.
  • Client and Internal Communication: Provide clear, succinct guidance to internal teams and present work to clients effectively. Act as an escalation point for resolving issues and managing client expectations.

A Bit About You:

  • Digital & Social Expertise: You understand how to execute with a digital, social-first mindset, ensuring that brand content drives engagement across platforms.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have experience in the tech sector, with device brands and have managed campaigns with football talent. Large agency experience is highly preferable.
  • Creative & Strategic Thinker: You are a non-linear thinker, able to consider different angles on a brief and approach tasks creatively. You are also strategic, ensuring that all work aligns with broader business objectives.
  • Energetic & Inspiring: You are charismatic, with an infectious energy that inspires others to do their best. You know how to build a positive, collaborative culture that drives business success.
  • Relationship Builder: You excel at building and maintaining strong relationships with senior clients and internal teams, capable of convincing and selling ideas and making strategic recommendations in quick turnaround and high-pressure situations.
  • Organised & Autonomous: You are capable of motivating the team to deliver great work while anticipating challenges and addressing them proactively.
  • Financially Savvy: Revenue & budget management across the account throughout the year, working toward and achieving both a new business and existing client target/pipeline.

Must Haves:

  • Experience working with in the tech sector, with devices brands, is preferred
  • Experience managing and overseeing campaigns with football talent is preferred
  • Passion for influencer marketing with a minimum of four years’ experience in the field
  • Demonstrate experience in building productive relationships with both clients & influencers
  • Ability to manage a team, including impressive delegation skills as well as being a supportive nurturing guidance for junior team members.
  • An innovative, creative approach to the opportunity in influence and social.
  • Thrive under the challenge of spinning multiple plates.
  • Logical commercial acumen, managing the responsibility of large budgets effectively and accurately, understanding implications of decisions on both agency, client and influencers.
  • Keeping abreast of and utilising new industry tech & developments, and follower of relevant news & trends.
  • Proven experience of integrating digital and social media in campaign activity.
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented and ambitious with a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Large agency experience highly preferrable
  • Can demonstrate operational excellence across resourcing and financial management
