As Talent Advisors, we will be the liaison between our Bloom Partner and yourself during this recruitment process. Hi, I’m Natalie Dusome, Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies, a fun and energetic brand that believes styles and function should co-exist. We’re passionate about creating practical pieces that help make life a little easier and lighten the load, literally. 

Building Poppy & Peonies has been a wild adventure. The journey began when my daughter Poppy was born and my accessories no longer worked with my new life as a mom, I needed bags with pockets and organization that looked cool and had functionality.  I couldn’t find it, so I decided to create it, and in 2015 Poppy & Peonies was born. 

We’ve come a long way in five years – from filling orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now, expanding into new product categories and collaborating with some exciting influencers and brands. I’d be lying if I said it’s been nothing but smooth sailing, but thanks to our incredible community, we’ve never felt more loved and supported! 

We believe in our responsibility to care for our environment and we are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet, and the animals that live on it. All of our bags are made from high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We ship our products plastic-free and we use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste, and we are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable to reduce our carbon footprint.

About the Role
As our Social & Community Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining and growing our brand’s online presence through active engagement and interaction with our community. While you’ll assist with social media activities, your primary focus will be monitoring, replying, and engaging with our audience across platforms to ensure our community feels heard and valued.

The Opportunity

  • Monitoring social media channels for mentions, comments, DMs, and actively engaging with followers to foster a positive and inclusive community.
  • Responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner, addressing questions, and escalating any issues to our Customer Experience team when necessary.
  • Assisting with social media content by supporting the Social Media Lead in scheduling posts and maintaining the content calendar.
  • Collaborating with the Social Media Lead and other team members to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing goals.
  • Supporting social media campaigns by assisting with posting our content, coordinating influencer collaborations, promotions, and event coverage.
  • Providing feedback and insights from the community to help inform future social media strategies, marketing campaigns, and future product development.
  • Tracking social media engagement and community sentiment, preparing reports, and contributing to overall social performance analysis.
  • Handling day-to-day administrative tasks related to social media management, such as influencer outreach and scheduling.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You have strong communication skills and a passion for engaging with our audience and building relationships online.
  • You have experience in social media monitoring and community management, focusing on responding to comments, inquiries, and escalating issues when needed.
  • You have a keen understanding of social platforms and stay up-to-date on trends that can influence community engagement.
  • You have supported social media content creation efforts and have experience creating content yourself.
  • You have managed the content posting and scheduling process, ensuring seamless coordination across platforms.
  • You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with others to achieve common goals.
  • You are adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

Location

  • This is a hybrid role, based in Lehi, Utah, working alongside our Social Media Lead. The rest of the Poppy & Peonies team is spread across North America.
  • There may be occasional domestic and international travel in the future for photoshoots, events, and team retreats. 

Salary and Total Rewards

  • Annual Salary ranges from $50,000 - $60,000 USD
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation per year
  • 5 additional flex days
  • Summer Fridays
  • $1,500 CAD annual health & wellness spending account
  • $250 CAD annual period & menstrual budget
  • $1,000 CAD annual allowance towards Poppy & Peonies product 
  • $400 CAD home office setup allowance
