Primary Purpose
Provides all aspects of functions to support mountain operations at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl Ski Areas at all times providing friendly and professional customer assistance. This is considered a part time non benefits eligible non-exempt position. Day and evening shifts available, and managers will do their best to accommodate individual's schedule preferences and needs. The hiring wage for this position is $17.47, with higher rates available based on years of service in this role at the Snow Bowl.
Essential Functions:
- Lift Operations - Starting up and shutting down any lift, loading and unloading customers, maintain load and unload areas, fully understand and assist in emergency procedures.
- Perform all aspects of Snow-making duties as directed by supervisors.
- Provide race and event support.
- Performs trail maintenance, snow shoveling in designated areas, firewood collection, parking lot attendant duties, garbage collection, and transportation as directed by supervisor.
- Assist with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- No specific experience required
Knowledge
- Basic computer skills beneficial
- Basic First Aid is beneficial
