Site Reliability Engineer

As our Site Reliability Engineer, you will be an integral part of our internal IT team. In this role, you will design, manage, and enhance ON2IT's internal infrastructure. You'll strike a balance between applying the latest technologies and maintaining a stable, reproducible infrastructure. This requires a high degree of automation.

Your responsibilities will broadly include the management, development, and monitoring of ON2IT's complete data centers, which consist of two physical data centers and two public cloud environments. Your days will primarily involve hands-on technical work, where you will work with and improve various new technologies. For instance, you’ll work with Nutanix, Kubernetes on bare metal, CouchDB, ELK, various relational databases, cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure, networking, and, of course, cybersecurity to continuously ensure the security of the infrastructure. After all, you are working for a cybersecurity company.

You will have a diverse set of tasks and enjoy figuring things out. Your responsibilities as Site Reliability Engineer include:

  • Managing and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services
  • Contributing ideas and developing smart IT solutions and processes
  • Keeping up with IT developments and implementing new tools and processes
  • Executing on vision
  • Automating and optimizing software and systems
  • Rolling out maintenance releases
  • Conducting data center failover tests
  • Planning and mapping out capacity management
  • Working with monitoring, dashboarding, alerting, and logging tools
  • Implementing new applications
