SIT Principal Engineer

Customer focused engineer, having deep knowledge of the customer system, responsible for validating and characterizing Western Digital products in customer environments to ensure the product exceeds customer expectations.​

  • Provide consultation and support to Development, Quality, and Customers as subject matter experts.​

  • Develop infrastructure and methods for new products and technologies. ​

  • Execute validation activities during Product Lifecycle (Development and Quality.)​

  • Maintain Test Tracker accuracy (Status and Target dates)​

  • Support failure analysis of qualification and field issues for our domains.​

  • Provide analysis and report issues and concerns to stakeholders.​

  • Coordinate with others to share learnings & methods.​

  • Input capital needs to Team Lead​

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering with 6+ years of experience in the field.  
  • A good candidate is organized, has good communication skills, attention to detail, data and analysis oriented,
  • A good candidate has strong technical domain knowledge in SSD storage and understanding of customer environments.
  • Familiar with managing storage in servers.  Setting up RAIDs and validating status with nvme-cli and internal development tools.  Use FIO to test drives.
  • Programming/scripting skills in python, bash, c, etc.
