The City of Fort Worth is looking for a highly skilled & motivated individual who is able and willing to lead a group of technical staff and to assist the organization towards the implementation of different projects, and wants to expand his/her technical knowledge and professional career by being involved in the state-of-the-art-technology traffic signal and ITS system. The City of Fort Worth is currently in the process of procuring or implementing new local traffic signal controller hardware & software, new central traffic management system software, implementation of citywide communication network, PTZ cameras, and other related ITS devices.
Transportation and Public Works Department Transportation Management Division seeks a Signal Systems Supervisor to supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance crew for trouble shooting and maintenance of traffic signal controllers and cabinets for new intersections or existing signalized intersections, responding to citizens inquires, PM (Preventative Maintenance) program management, and occasional activities such as signal hardware modification in the field, installation of traffic signals or street lights and/or other electronic equipment; to coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the management personnel. Subject to being on call (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week to respond to emergencies.

Physical Demand
Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.
