Kettle & Fire is searching for a Shopper & Trade Marketing Manager to join our team and execute 'best-in-class' shopper marketing programs through creative Omnichannel tactics. This role combines shopper and trade marketing expertise to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and strengthen retailer partnerships. They are responsible for developing shopper-centric strategies, development of promotional assets, collaborating with retailers, and optimizing marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and sales growth.

This position combines shopper and trade marketing expertise to create a holistic approach that drives sales and enhances the overall shopping experience.

  • Shopper expertise is needed to drive sales and brand growth by understanding and influencing consumer behavior at the point of purchase.
  • Trade expertise is needed to promote products effectively to retailers and distributors, ensuring optimal distribution and visibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Development and execution of shopper marketing strategies
    • Collaborate with sales team to prioritize key retail milestones that will drive 360 campaign approach
    • Partner with marketing team to create and execute digital + offline shopper marketing initiatives that align with business goals
    • Manage external agencies and media buyers in execution of campaigns
    • Vet and prioritize new channel opportunities based on retail goals
  • Development and execution of trade marketing strategies
    • Develop trade promotional strategies that align with business goals
    • Work cross-functionally with marketing and sales in creation of promotional assets and trade marketing materials
    • Collaborate with retailers on joint marketing initiatives and promotional activities
    • Execute/Manage: Retail Marketing decks ahead of line reviews and quarterly by retailer
  • Budget Management
    • Oversee budget allocation across shopper marketing platforms
    • Allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI
    • Monitor and report on budget pacing and performance
  • Performance Measurement
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for shop and trade marketing initiatives
    • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights
    • Regularly review and report on shopper and trade marketing performance
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, finance) to align strategies
    • Ensure all content is aligned with brand campaigns and ever green content. Consistent with brand style guide.
    • Provide support to sales team and retail channel partners
    • Collaborate with data team to analyze shopping behavior and trends to identify insights

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience within shopper marketing and/or retail marketing execution
    • Has proven track record at executing successful shopper marketing campaigns across Natural, MULO, and Club retailers.
  • Obsession for understanding shopper behavior. Lives, breathes and dreams about how to better reach & understand our consumers
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end
  • Brings solutions with an owner mindset - Asks the right questions to get at the solution, masters the balance of asking for help and figuring it out
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Competence in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite (including PPT). Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack, Notion, Zoom/Dialpad is a plus.
