What the Role Is

Babylist, the leading digital destination for growing families, has launched a new experiential showroom and boutique in Beverly Hills (211 South Beverly Blvd.) We’re looking for a motivated Retail Sales Shift Lead to help create a memorable and joyful experience for expecting parents and their loved ones. The Retail Sales Shift Lead plays an essential role in helping our guests build their registry, learn about the best baby products, and feel taken care of from start to finish. The Retail Sales Shift Lead reports to the Sr. Showroom Manager and works closely with the rest of the Showroom and Boutique team. This role will assist the store leadership team with day-to-day operational tasks to make sure the Showroom and Boutique are operating to their highest potential.

This is a full-time  position that will require you to work Thursday- Monday(off Tuesday and Wednesday) from 10:45am - 7:15pm. You must be available to work weekends.

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or guest service role, with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership or key-holder abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills both internally with teammates and externally with guests, with a strong focus on guest service and relationship-building
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and retail operations, along with knowledge of Babylist registries and products is a plus
  • You have a passion for delivering the very best in customer experience and do so by creating genuine and warm connections
  • You are flexible with availability and open to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • You should be able to lift 25-30 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours. We welcome everyone to apply and will provide necessary accommodations.
  • Baby retail experience is a plus

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Lead by example, providing exceptional service, and helping guests navigate the showroom and boutique experiences
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, including security, safety, and maintenance checks
  • Act as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the showroom and managing security protocols
  • Support showroom and boutique staff by ensuring they are trained and knowledgeable on product features, benefits, and safety guidelines, and provide ongoing coaching and support
  • Maintain a strong focus on sales performance, guest satisfaction, and product knowledge proficiency, setting clear expectations and driving accountability
  • Collaborate with the Boutique Manager on ways to constantly improve the Babylist boutique experience, including inventory receiving, visual merchandising, and upkeep of shop maintenance
  • Provide regular feedback to the Sr. Showroom Manager and Boutique Manager and assist in the development and implementation of showroom/boutique strategies and initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between the Sr. Showroom Manager and the team, effectively communicating company policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and performance metrics, including guest satisfaction, revenue targets, and product knowledge proficiency

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay. Your actual base pay will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications and experience.

 

The estimated pay range for this role is $25.00 per hour
