The M365 SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for planning, configuration, implementation, installation, performance tuning, and recovery procedures for SharePoint Online. The M365 SharePoint Administrator serves as a technical expert in SharePoint Online system administration whose expertise results in smooth integration, efficient collaboration, and positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administration of SharePoint Online, site collections, and sites/subsites – including OneDrive integration and interoperability with other products in the Microsoft 365 environment
- Site Administration, site creation, permissions management, list/library configuration, page and template creation, column and view configuration, custom design and development in modern experiences for pages, lists, and sites
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve a wide array of SharePoint Online issues – including root cause analysis
- Implement updates to site structures, list/library best practices, custom forms, custom flows, search configuration, metadata management, and integrations with Microsoft and third-party apps and services
- Create and maintain documentation for the day-to-day administration and change management, including process documentation and training/reference materials
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop engaging sites, resources, and tools for business operations
- Participate in technical design sessions; develop detailed technical solution documentation that is aligned with business objectives
- Create, monitor, and maintain business processes using Microsoft Power Automate and related technologies
- Customize SharePoint forms using Microsoft Power Apps and related technologies
- Coordinate data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss
- Review usage and activity reports and provide statistics to management as needed
- Evaluates new tools or software, searching for improvements and possible modifications
- Prepare documentation for end-user training
- Review Microsoft alerts regarding new features, issues, and upcoming releases and address them accordingly
- Perform other duties of a similar nature in SharePoint Online
- Manage and prioritize requests while maintaining transparent communication
- Collaborate with client, vendors, and Senior Engineering/Architects on assigned projects
- Continuous education and complete/maintain certifications as agreed upon by management
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience as a SharePoint Online administrator
- Microsoft SharePoint Certification
- Highly proficient knowledge of M365 SharePoint Online administration and related technologies (i.e., PowerApps, Power Automate, Azure, PnP PowerShell)
- Understanding of SDLC process, performing unit testing, and packaging to deploy from development to production environments
- Strong knowledge of the .Net framework (C#), CSOM, JavaScript, TypeScript and other elements of SharePoint Framework
- Working knowledge/familiarity of M365 administration centers
- Managed Services or consulting experience is a plus
- On-premises SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019 experience is a plus
- Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
