The Servicing Specialist will proactively review loans to determine workout solutions for borrower or heirs in difficult situations. Proactively reach out to educate borrowers or heirs their options and work with subservicer to engage contact for loan resolution.
Primary Job Duties:
- Handle outbound/inbound calls as necessary to assist borrowers or heirs in default education and explain their options on loan resolution.
- Communicate with borrowers or heirs to assist where needed by engaging the subservicer to ensure the best customer experience.
- Educate borrowers or heirs on all workout options to include Short Sale or Deed In Lieu for foreclosure avoidance.
- Effectively work with subservicer to ensure the best borrower or heir experience during default.
- Communicates regularly to interrelated departments within the company to successfully serve the customer, both internal and external.
- Analyze and respond timely to subservicer requests for workout solutions as needed.
- Communicates any issues with upper management that may put Longbridge at reputational risk and work to find solutions to mitigate such risk.
- Skiptracing to locate borrowers or alternative contacts.
- Analyze and respond timely to subservicer on data reconciliation and exception reporting.
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years reverse mortgage loan servicing experience.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Demonstrate ability to resolve problems and exercise sound business decisions.
- Attention to details and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
- This position is located in our Houston Office, Monday - Friday.
