Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 Days Onsite in Blue Bell / 2 Days At Home
Here’s what you’d do:
The ServiceNow Application Developer role is responsible for the ongoing development, support, and maintenance of BrightView’s enterprise IT Service Management solution (ServiceNow), related modules, data integrations, and MID servers. In partnership with business and IT stakeholders, the ServiceNow Application Developer will design and develop new solutions such as forms and workflows, plan and execute platform upgrades and enhancements, and implement 3rd party integrations. This role troubleshoots day-to-day issues and supports enhancements for forms, service portals, workflow / approval processes, reports, password self-help, orchestrator, GRC, and other modules as applicable. This role is also responsible for supporting and enhancing the suite of custom ServiceNow solutions to collect and process data for internal and external customers.
You’d be responsible for:
- Maintain, configure, and enhance BrightView’s ITSM ServiceNow platform; including processing inbound support requests and enhancements associated with the ITSM.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design and deliver new solutions and automations to support new and/or expanding business functions.
- Review and design upgrades for deprecated functionality of the product, implement process improvements and optimizations of instances using latest product services, and identify cost-savings opportunities with efficient processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for new business processes as needed.
- Be responsible for all Audit-related processes, continuously monitor these changes for exceptions, and address as needed.
- Create and maintain custom reports and table views, either scheduled or ad-hoc.
- Support annual audit activities by generating reports, writing custom search queries, and conducting research as needed to show user access history / behavior.
- Adhere to IT Application Development Standards to maintain code integrity, generate test scripts, and follow strict change / release management.
- Maintain thorough documentation for new solutions, customizations, scripts, and integrations.
- Assist the ITSM Administrator as needed, including service catalog updates, license/transaction management maintenance, workflow/approver maintenance, modify/create forms and workflows, and modify/create email message templates.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Minimum 2 years relevant technical degree preferred, not required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a ServiceNow Administrator, preferably for a large/public company
- Excellent communications skills are required
- Cloud Solutions (Azure preferred), JavaScript, PowerShell, HTML, CSS, jQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap, DLAP, JDBC, XML, REST APIs, JSON, familiarity with SSO, and ServiceNow scripting and automation.
- Hands-on familiarity with Application Change Control Protocols
- Ability to build rapport with different teams consisting of different titles, technical acumen, and business expertise
- Able to interface with customers of varying technical knowledge to gather requirements and resolve support tickets.
- Highly logical, with good working knowledge of process and workflow design.
- Strong triage and problem-solving skills, and works well under pressure.
- Basic experience preparing user-friendly documentation, based on technical concepts.
- Comfortable working with contractors/vendors as needed for projects/complex problem resolution.
- Working knowledge of Excel Macros and Active Directory.
- Application programming background and related experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of change and release management processes.
- ServiceNow Certified Administrator certification preferred, not required.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite at the Blue Bell PA headquarters a minimum of 3 days per week.
