Service Transition Lead

The role requires an experienced Service Transition Lead with a strategic mindset to support the Head of Service. The role is responsible for a large breadth of ITSM capabilities and leads Subject Matter Expert Team Leaders to facilitate operational outcomes and alignment with SIAM processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engagement of key stakeholders (business and technical) to foster modern service delivery in a complex environment
  • Build and develop cross-functional teams to adopt and mature better practice ‘as a service’ delivery methodologies
  • Provide Professional Development support to a team of SME Capability Leads, acting as SME yourself
  • Coordinate and manage competing priorities to deliver contracted outcomes while managing the relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Reporting operational achievements, activities and roadblocks at both a tactical and strategic level to various audiences, proactively calling our and managing/mitigating risks and issues
  • Create, Update and Manage Governance Artefacts relating to:
    • Change Management
    • Continuity Management
    • Disaster Recovery Management
    • Release and Deployment Management
    • Service Asset and Configuration Management
    • Transition Planning and Support

Required

  • A proven ability to lead in a complex and demanding environment (4+ years)
  • A strong ability to develop, organise and work to defined outcomes and deliverables and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience with influencing cross-functional collaboration between process teams and technical SMEs
  • Experience managing people/teams (with remote workforce, preferably in ITSM space)
  • Experience working with/within Operational teams to transition capabilities into service
  • Experience/strong understanding of IT Service Management (Change, Release, Incident, Problem, SACM, GFx)
  • Experience with preparing communications for various audiences from tactical situation reports to high level strategies and position papers
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Understanding of Risk and Issue Management and mitigation strategies

Desirable

  • Understanding of Service Portfolio Management
  • Understanding of Business Architecture
  • Understanding of ServiceNow CRM tool

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen, hold a government NV-1 security clearance, with the expectation of obtaining an NV-2.
