Position Summary
Michigan CAT Service Technician is the heart of our business. You will perform welding and fabricating as well as performing service and maintenance tasks on our customers’ equipment, while continuing to learn as well as looking out for self and others' safety at the workplace.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welding, boring and fabricating
- Qualified and certified to perform all types of welding
- Qualified to perform machining required to repair the equipment sold by the Company
- Fabricate customized attachments and equipment as required by the assigned service department
- Service/repair work on items diagnosed, ranging from mechanical to electrical work.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance work on customer products.
- Identify and source any parts required for repair or service.
- Complete a detailed service report to provide to the Service Coordinator and Service Supervisor.
Preferred Qualification:
- Possess a Certified Welder Certificate
