We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Client Managed Sensory Department as a Sensory Manager.

A bit about the role:

Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Managed Sensory, this role will focus on providing essential support to our client-managed sensory panels. The Sensory Manager will be involved in assisting with recruitment, training, data analysis, and addressing inquiries related to panel leading best practices and working closely with experienced panel leaders.

The ideal candidate with have 5+ years of industry experience, working in a Sensory Department and be fully competent in panel leading, panel performance monitoring, data analysis and reporting. The role is remote but will require travel to client sites across the Netherlands and there will be in initial training period which will take place on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment Assistance:

  • Collaborate with client organizations to assist in identifying and recruiting potential sensory panellists.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs for new panellists.
  • Participate in recruitment events and outreach initiatives.

Data Analysis Support:

  • Work alongside senior team members in conducting analysis of sensory evaluation data including panel performance.
    Assist in generating reports and summaries to communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in generating panel performance analysis, report, outcomes interpretation and support with targeted feedback to panellists based on performance.
  • Apply statistical techniques for sensory data analysis.

Panel Leading Support:

  • Provide support to client panel leaders and assistants in executing best practices in sensory panel leadership.
  • Respond to inquiries related to panel management with guidance from experienced team members.
  • Support client-based panel leaders in managing efficiently the panellists through technical and behavioural KPIs.

Collaboration and Learning:

  • Collaborate with the department team to contribute to the success of client-managed panels.
  • Actively participate in client meetings and presentations to gain exposure to client engagement strategies.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities within the sensory field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Sensory Science, Psychology).
  • Proven 5+ years of industry experience working in sensory department (panel leading, panel performance monitoring, data analysis and reporting).
  • Strong interest in sensory evaluation and a desire to develop expertise in the field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
