Senior Workday HCM Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Workday HCM Specialist who will work across multiple modules in Workday, supporting the migration, design, configuration, and administration of a Group global HRIS. The role collaborates with HRBP, the Talent team, the HR Solutions team, as well as Payroll and Total Rewards, to analyze and document current processes and procedures with a consultative approach to improve efficiency and identify additional opportunities for automation.

We expect the Senior Workday HCM Specialist to:

  • Support the migration, implementation maintenance and structure of Workday (HRIS),
  • Triage, diagnose, and assign/resolve issues originating from end-users, business process events, etc,
  • Provide day-to-day support to HRIS stakeholders within the HR, Payroll, as well as to end users (employees and managers),
  • Support HRIS upgrades, proactively monitor new features, upgrades and enhancements released by Workday and advocate for appropriate adoption plans, including bi-annual Workday releases and new system features,
  • Lead testing and data validation and ensure that overall system performance is aligned with business objectives,
  • Work closely with HR COE’s, HR Business Partners and business stakeholders to gather and define requirements, provide recommendations through a consultative approach,
  • Partner with all areas of HR and business to create, edit and prepare reports and user-friendly dashboards where needed,
  • Participate actively in the Workday Community, propose and advocate for improvements to the Workday solution, and build a network of peers to best-practice-share with,
  • Support security configuration and management to ensure appropriate control of access to data and system,
  • Manage maintenance and accuracy and integrity of employee data, for reporting and distribution,
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation,
  • Safeguard system access and security, and support system audits.

Must-have skills:

  • More than 5 years of experience working as an Workday HCM Specialist,
  • Experience with Workday HCM, supporting the design, configuration, and administration,
  • Experience in the Workday migration processes, from planning to implementation,
  • HR experience with a strong understanding of HR processes and procedures and the requirements of an HR function,
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in composing thoughtful and caring written communication and sharing complex information verbally,
  • Ability to navigate highly complex business needs without a clearly defined path and where you see a need, you bring a well-considered solution,
  • Strong knowledge of Workday best practices and how to effectively translate them into realistic business processes,
  • Common sense – always spots opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results,
  • Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-language global organization.

 

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience with other enterprise HR systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday, etc),
  • Workday Official Certification.
