Weatherford is hiring a Senior Carbide Welder for our Pearland Texas facility. This is a hands-on, rewarding role that you’ll perform welding for the oil and gas industry. The Senior Carbide Welder will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. - Blowing off and dressing of mills for fishing/whipstock operations
- Welding whipstock assemblies together
- Welding repair on fishing/whipstock mills
- Working with crushed/insert carbide
- This is a shop position. No travel
- 10 years of welding experience for crushed/insert carbide brazing of oilfield mills and fishing tools.
- Experience brazing PDC cutters is also prefered but not required
- Must have the ability to work overtime
- Be on call as required to cover operations outside of normal working ours including weekends
