Senior Web Analyst II

The Senior Web Analytics Specialist will support Shutterfly, Snapfish and Spoonflower brands eCommerce analytics tools on websites and mobile apps. Tools supported are Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Heap Analytics and potentially Quantum Metrics.  Adobe Launch is our main tag manager, and we also use Google Tag Manager, Google Server and Tealium Evenstream. This individual will be responsible for tool administration activities, metrics definition, tagging support, working with product teams and developers on both sites and mobile apps, ensuring analytics tools align with our Data Governance practices, validating data integrity in analytics tools, troubleshooting issue related to analytics tool tracking, support for the Marketing tracking pixels that are managed in the tag managers and supporting users to better self-serve in the analytics tools. Our sites and apps are constantly evolving, and this role will play a key part in ensuring that our tracking keeps pace with the evolution of our platforms. Effective communication skills and teamwork are important in this position, and we interface with many teams regularly across numerous time zones. We are looking for someone with a passion for e-commerce Analytics tracking who is comfortable working with numerous tools and stakeholders throughout the organization who can drive our tracking and data integrity initiatives with an advanced marketing, technical and analytical skill set.

What you will do: 

  • Administer and implement Adobe Analytics, Target, MixPanel, Heap and any other new tools we may acquire across the Shutterfly, Inc e-commerce platforms (Shutterfly, Snapfish & Spoonflower).
  • Interpret analytics requirements and enable details for tracking new features and functionality launched on the sites & apps in whichever tool is most appropriate.
  • Advise development teams on implementation best practices to enable new analytics coverage throughout the site.
  • Create and maintain tool documentation, including Solutions Design Reference Documents and our team SharePoint site
  • Manage complex tool installations including validating segments, calculated metrics, Data Warehouse exports, Security Risk Management, data validation and integrity audits
  • Work within and help improve process for implementing analytics tracking in multiple tools while interacting with multiple stakeholders
  • Assist as needed with Adobe Target test implementation and analysis
  • Work with Marketing stakeholders to maintain both client-side and server-side tracking pixels on our platforms from numerous marketing partners
  • Work closely with product teams and developers to build out implement and test new tracking requirements
  • Support and train business users to self-serve in our analytics tools as they look to answer questions and drive decisions with analytics data
  • Work with the BI and Data teams to align metrics collected by our analytics tools with our evolving Data Governance standards and practices
  • Stay abreast of industry developments in e-commerce analytics tracking and work with the Head of Web Analytics to prototype innovative technologies that can improve our ability to support the business with the best analytics data

The Skills You'll Bring: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience using Adobe Analytics, Adobe Test & Target, Adobe Workspace, Adobe Launch; experience with new auto tracking tools (Quantum Metrics, Heap, Medallia DXA, etc.) a plus. Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) experience is a plus, Google tools experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with eCommerce business metrics and drivers
  • Proven analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to collect and analyze data, and make recommendations based on that analysis
  • Understanding of analytics tracking best practices
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), both in articulating his/her ideas and gathering input from key stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills – Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving analytics implementation projects that involve multiple teams and business stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a focus on flawless execution with attention to detail, accuracy, and on-time delivery
  • Basic to advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and data tools is a plus
  • BA/BS degree in economics, mathematics, marketing, business, or related field preferred

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.

California : [$104,000-148.000]

Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island: [$104,000-135,500]

Colorado and Washington: [$104,000-125,500]

Nevada: [$97,750-135,500]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
