Senior Visual Designer

We’re hiring for a senior illustrator to join our Brand Creative team! This person will work closely with the brand illustration team lead and will be responsible for owning project concepts and execution of artwork for internal and external MongoDB applications. This role will be based out of New York City.

Sr Illustrator Expectations

• High collaboration skills when it comes to team members and leads
• Must be highly organized and experienced with presentations, creative process, Figma files, and Dropbox folders 
• Must have high communication skills when it comes to internal and external teams, stakeholders and leadership
• Must have experience owning stakeholder relationships and processes
• High level of critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
• Expertise level in Adobe Illustrator and illustration skills as well as visual design acumen 
• Highly skilled and experienced on communicating ideas and concept through sketches and mood boards
• Figma experience is a must

What we need to see

• BFA or MA/MS degree in design, art and design or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating commitment to excellence in visual design and illustration
• 6+ years of design experience. We are looking for a high performer who is ready to transition into a senior role or has been in a senior role for a maximum of 1 to 2 years
• A portfolio highly focused on illustration, illustration systems and processes
