The LinkedIn Learning Content Team is looking for an experienced Senior Video Editor to join our team. Senior Video Editors work closely with the Video Editing Managers and Supervisors, adhering to established best practices, and driving new processes while scaling innovation across post-production. Our Senior Video Editors add value to the production of instructional content creation, utilizing expertise in Premiere Pro as well as experience working with screen capture recordings, compositing, and color correction. This role requires effective communication skills for consulting with producers, directors, audio engineering, and graphic designers.
The ideal candidate will be technically savvy with a passion for learning, skilled in the craft of video editing, and must understand all of the components of video production, including but not limited to; narrative audio pacing, music implementation, and visuals with a sense of story. Besides having technical acumen, the optimal candidate will have enough experience in video production to anticipate the needs of our members, with the agency and curiosity to “ask why” while understanding the goals of our instructional design principles. Successful candidates will have the right experience to leverage our tools effectively with excellent visual communication skills, strong narrative problem-solving abilities, a drive for innovation, and a high degree of pride in editorial craftsmanship.

Primary Responsibilities
Lead the editing of LinkedIn Learning courses of varying complexity, color grading, integrating MOGRTS, b-roll, and other graphical elements, ensuring the highest quality editing standards and optimum end-user experience.
Seeks to scale new editing styles and actively refines technical workflows to support the needs of our global post teams.
Drive up-stream post-production pipeline for potential language localization of LinkedIn Learning Content.
Ensure content is edited and released timely and efficiently based on the deadlines defined in the release schedule.
Assess and resolve technical and creative issues methodically in a timely, scalable manner.
Manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously during various stages of post-production, meeting production commitments and milestone dates.
Support immediate team and cross-functional teams with high-level collaboration and excellent communication skills.
Capable of switching from one project to another quickly and successfully with the ability to prioritize projects effectively.
Review and spot-check edited footage, coaching individual editors to make improvements and adjustments to the quality and sensibility of their editing on an ongoing basis.
Communicate clearly and effectively with key stakeholders (producers, directors, audio engineers, graphic designers, and quality assurance specialists) to ensure successful handoffs throughout the post-production process.
Research and understand new industry trends and technologies in cloud-based tools, pipelines, and workflows.
Investigate, adopt, and influence new video editing techniques, identifying specific processes/technology that can be applied to the post-production editorial workflow.
Support the Content Production roadmap as needed.
Establish and promote solid communication throughout the editorial team to encourage development and continuous learning.
Be attentive to strengths and weaknesses within the team by developing solutions to reinforce individual skills and editorial techniques.
Basic Qualifications
A professional demo reel or website showcasing recent editorial work.
4+ years of professional editorial experience in digital post-production environments.
Fluency in Japanese and English
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced technical knowledge of post-production workflows and production pipelines.
Industry-level experience in editorial organizational methods and media management.
Expert-level experience with the Adobe Creative Suite of tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, and other hardware as it relates to digital video editing and post-production.
Strong professional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and action-oriented.
Strong MacOS troubleshooting expertise with robust solution-orientated problem-solving skills.
Experience in project and time management within a fast-paced, high-productivity environment.
Expert knowledge of 4k Workflows, Color Grading, and Green Screen compositing.
Familiarity with using MOGRTS, Frame.IO, Box, Office 365, and project management applications.
Able to work and communicate within a team structure while working independently with minimal supervision.
