As a Senior UX Designer at Balsam, you'll be reporting directly to the UX Design Manager, and will be responsible for independently driving UX Design projects and supporting cross-functional teams in producing highly innovative and engaging digital experiences. In this role, you will excel at using customer feedback, UX best practices, and competitive analysis to determine appropriate user journeys. You must be innovative, maintain a solution-first attitude, be user-centric, and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners. You will be expected to work and collaborate very closely with Product, Marketing, Engineers, UI, and Brand teams. You will also work with cross-channel leaders to meet Creative, eCommerce, Marketing, Brand, and business objectives.
What you'll be doing:
- Partner with product managers to hypothesize, test, and measure customer growth and success of the product.
- Break down complex & ambiguous problems into sophisticated solutions
- Partner closely with engineers to build and deliver high-quality digital products
- Translate your hypothesis into concepts and requirements into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, comps and clickable prototypes.
- Design for multiple types of devices (web, tablet, mobile)
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related the customer’s experience.
- Take a human approach to design and iteration.
- Create conceptual diagrams, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design strategies and interaction behaviors.
- Create specifications that are easily understood by the technology team for scalable development.
- Create Low fidelity wireframes and partner/ collaborate with the UI Design team.
- Working with cross functional teams to provide the best-in class product experience.
- Present work and communicate design decisions to partners with confidence and clarity to capture feedback, iterate on and refine design solutions.
- Iterate on your products post-launch based on insights on how they are performing in the real world.
- Contribute to a collaborative culture that embraces inclusivity and diversity.
What we’re looking for:
- Bring a keen eye and an insightful mind to the digital drawing board - making the smart, industry-advancing design decisions for which Experience is known.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in delivering digital products.
- Expertise in implementing design best practices.
- Experience in creating and maintaining design systems for enterprise-level products.
- Experience with a wide range of design and Prototyping Tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc).
- Working knowledge of high-fidelity designs, user flows and wireframes.
- Deep knowledge in UX/Interaction Design, understand Human Behavior, Design Thinking, Prototyping.
- Has built and launched at least one product that has gone from discovery, launch to optimization.
- Experience of working with Agile teams.
- Must have a proactive can-do attitude.
- Ability to work with distributed teams in various time zones.
- Take responsibility for ensuring success of all implementations.
Location: The Senior UX Designer position is a work-from-home position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.
Our must-haves:
- Must be open to joining some face-to-face gatherings, like our monthly functional meetings and quarterly teamwide events.
- Must have a back-up laptop or desktop for use, if primary laptop encounters issues.
- Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 10MBPS.
- Must have a back-up internet connection of the same speed, if primary connection becomes spotty.
