Senior UI Engineer

Purpose of the role

As a Senior User Interface Engineer at Zuora, you will play a key role in creating beautiful UI components with the highest levels of detail in aesthetic and interaction design. 

This is a hybrid position, so you'll work both remotely and in the office.

Key duties and deliverables

• Take ownership of our technical architecture for our internal component library
• Develop reusable and visually appealing HTML Web Components. 
• Implement detailed interaction designs with minimum compromise of the Designer's vision. 
• Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure our team takes full advantage of what's possible with modern web technologies
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance across various devices and screen sizes. 
• Work with Zuora's app development teams to help make our design system easier to implement and more developer-friendly.

Skills and capabilities

• At least 2 years of work experience in a SaaS company 
• Proven experience in developing interactive UI components and web applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. 
• Familiarity with build systems (e.g., Webpack, Gulp) and automated testing of front-end code. 
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for design aesthetics. 
• Experience with Git. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with designers and developers.  
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trends
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
