Abacus Works is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on Hyperlane, the first permissionless interoperability layer!
The Hyperlane protocol is pioneering permissionless and modular interoperability. Providing developers with an API to connect between blockchains, Hyperlane is the first tool that allows anyone to add interoperability capabilities to any chain, without having to deal with any gatekeeping! Hyperlane's modular security stack means developers can configure and customize their security to their needs, always remaining in control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Typescript side of our smart contract framework, ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Deploy and continually improve our SDKs for both internal and external use, streamlining the integration process for developers.
- Enhance user interaction with Hyperlane's smart contracts via end-user products, such as the Warp Template UI and the Hyperlane Explorer (https://explorer.hyperlane.xyz/).
- Work closely with the engineering team to improve the Developer Experience (DevEx) of deploying and interacting with Hyperlane smart contracts, aiming for simplicity and ease of use.
- Operate primarily as an Individual Contributor focusing on the development and deployment of our Software Development Kits (SDKs) to enhance accessibility for developers.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of our smart contracts, maintaining operational excellence across all projects.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Typescript/Javascript/Node.js
- 2+ years of experience working with Ethereum or similar blockchain-based smart contract platforms
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to operate independently under uncertainty
- Strong sense of initiative and ownership
- The drive, intensity, and motivation to perform at a world class level
- Are a crypto native
- BONUS: Experience working on developer products
Salary range for this role is $180K to $250K USD (NY). Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentive.
