Essential Job Duties

A Senior Payroll Services Trust Accounting Analyst at BambooHR doesn’t just manage financial records and reporting. As a Senior Payroll Services Trust Accounting Analyst, you’ll master these skills with a company that does the right thing—not just in our software and service, but also in how we treat employees. You’ll troubleshoot financial reports, maintain the general ledger, and support the external audit team with flair. A successful Senior Payroll Services Trust Accounting Analyst will:

  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure and systems
  • Prepare the monthly financial management review package, including AR and AP aging reports, outstanding check reports, variance and flux analysis, reconciliations, etc.
  • Own monthly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate ledger balances
  • Assist in researching and providing support for external audit team requests
  • Prepare non-routine/ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Help lead projects to enhance the department's workflow
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Provide excellent support on internal and external customer inquiries
  • Be a role model for BambooHR values

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting role; prior US payroll and payroll tax experience preferred
  • Experience with complex reconciliation projects
  • Working knowledge of accounting software and common accounting principles and practices
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to multi-task
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
  • Proficient computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Belief in BambooHR values
