This role plays a crucial part in the efficient functioning of the treasury operations by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to confirm trades, monitor settlements, and resolve any discrepancies. The Treasury Specialist will be key in managing the Group cashflow forecasting process, working closely across finance to determine the liquidity requirements of the Group to make recommendations for opportunities to optimise cash and pay down debt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Settlement and confirmation processing including execution the settlement of treasury transactions, monitoring confirmation receipts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies, accurate reporting of settlements in the Treasury System and coordinating with counterparties, custodians, and internal departments to facilitate smooth settlement processes.
- Implement controls to mitigate operational risks related to settlement processes, including reporting and escalating issues impacting settlement timelines or accuracy
- Assisting the Treasury Accounting Manager and Senior Manager Treasury Operations with month end Treasury reporting and audit requirements
- Generate reports on settlement activities and key performance indicators and analyze settlement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintaining and providing cross currency rates APAC wide.
- Assist with the management of the Transactional banking requirements
- Prepare regular reports on treasury activities, including cash flow projections, bank account balances, and financial market analysis. Maintain and manage intercompany loan register and bank guarantee registers.
- Support the utilisation of the Treasury Management System,
- Proven experience in treasury operations within a Corporate or Bank
- Strong understanding of cashflow management and forecasting
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and settlement platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
