ispace Technologies, US is a looking for a highly motivated and talented Senior Thermal Engineer to join its new team.

Key Responsibilities
- Design spacecraft thermal control systems
- Develop thermal models and conduct analysis to inform component sizing, selection, and specification
- Support design work including trade studies, material, component, manufacturing process selection, and design validation
- Write and present technical reports
- Support the development of environmental test plans and help execute them to verify thermal system performance
- Maintain proactive coordination between teams to balance and achieve project goal
- Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders and customers to ensure the thermal system meets the performance requirements
Basic Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with focus on systems and control. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- 5+ years of experience in the design of aerospace applications
- Experience designing and/or analyzing thermal control systems for a spacecraft
- Proficient thermal analysis tools (Thermal Desktop preferred) and CAD (Solidworks preferred)
- Comfortable with change, fast-paced environment, and learning new things
- Team-centered mindset, with a focus on collaborating with and supporting those around you
- Effective communication skills to strengthen cross-functional interactions and team support
- Proactive attitude, team player, and strong sense of ownership for their scope
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with spacecraft thermal control systems
- Knowledge of mechanical design, material selection, and fabrication processes for spaceflight hardware or equivalent
- Experience with FEA (Simcenter preferred)
- Experience running and operating spacecraft environmental tests
- Experience working for Aerospace/Space Prime or sub-contractor strongly preferred
- Experience in startup environment a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environment
- Schedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility required
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary based upon experience - $115,000-$135,000. The salary posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
