Senior Test Systems Software Engineer

Job Description

As an experienced senior software engineer on the Test Systems team at Butterfly, you will create critical tests used in the development and production of our entire ultrasound imaging product line. You will work cross functionally with the Device Software, Core Tech, Imaging, Manufacturing, and other teams to deliver robust test solutions. We are looking for someone who has the experience to identify improvement opportunities, and the passion and talent to make them happen.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be: 

  • Create robust automated test software to interface seamlessly with hardware in both R&D and production environments
  • Sustain and improve existing processes through debugging, code reviews, and documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand design intent and test requirements, and ensure alignment on deliverables

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • 5+ years of Python experience
  • Some knowledge of C++
  • Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and software architecture
  • Passionate about creating modern, efficient, and scalable code
  • Comfortable with git, preferably using GitHub
  • History of collaboration, but still able to work independently
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Electronics design or troubleshooting experience
  • Familiarity with NI test systems, including PXIe modules, and associated softwares such as NI TestStand and Labview
  • Working knowledge of Docker
  • Experience with continuous integration and HIL testing
  • Medical device production testing experience

This is an in-office position and will be based out of our office in Taiwan.
