Simulmedia is looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Test Engineer with a curious and creative mindset to join our Automated Test Engineering team. As a Senior Test Engineer at Simulmedia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platforms and products. You will help build our test automation efforts, designing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring that our products deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience.
This position is located in either Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. The team is located in both Kyiv and Lviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings in the Lviv office.
Requirements:
● Solid proficiency in Python or JavaScript (NodeJS/TypeScript) (5+ years)
● Ability to write and execute clear and consistent code
● Strong ability to analyze and identify testing deficits along with the ability to write accurate tests
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
● Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
● Build custom tools and automation to help us maintain, monitor, and work with our infrastructure and services
● Collaborate with engineers to improve developer experience and processes around testing our software
● Continuously optimize infrastructure and resource usage for performance and cost-effectiveness
● Use creative thinking to figure out unique ways to test out our platform
Qualifications:
● 5+ years of professional experience in automated test engineering or a related role
● 2+ years of manual testing experience
● 3+ years of experience in API automation, Integration and E2E testing
● Experience with both Selenium Webdriver and non-Selenium tools like Playwright/Puppeteer/Cypress
● Familiarity with test runners (Pytest/Jest)
● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration including GitHub Actions and Jenkins
● Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● Demonstrated ability to work independently
● Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologies
● The desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work on
● Ability to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality, and be pragmatic
● Must be able to communicate with U.S based teams
● Ability to work 11 am — 8 pm EEST
Nice to Have:
● Experience with AWS, including its services and infrastructure.
Our Tech Stack:
● Our current testing framework utilizes Python, Pytest, Selenium Webdriver and Selenoid.
● The tech stack for our new testing framework will be defined based on the project requirements and the input from the automation team.
● We test against dedicated testing environments, as well as Docker images.
