Senior Test Automation Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Consultant to join our existing teams. The Test Automation Consultant holds a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of software development and delivery processes through the design, development, and implementation of test automation solutions. This role requires a strong technical background in test automation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, product owners, QAs/testers, and other stakeholders.

  • Significant experience in automation engineering, with a strong background in automation tools, scripting languages, and frameworks
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams towards successful automation implementation
  • Strong understanding of Test Automation toolkits with ability to recommend appropriate solutions for a given client environment
  • Experience of delivering in an Agile environment with practical implementation of Agile techniques like; User Stories, Continuous Integration, TDD, ATDD, BDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing etc.
  • Experience of testing BI/Data Warehouse/Analytics/ETL projects and working in data-driven environments
  • Automating tests covering both Functional and Non-Functional (e.g. Performance, Load, Capacity, Monitoring etc.) requirements/user stories
  • Exposure to test automation of networking technologies and API's (REST or SOAP) within data-driven environments
  • An aptitude for best practice development and testing standards
  • Ability to write tests using a testing framework, for example; JUnit, TestNG, NUnit or equivalent etc.
  • Debugging and analysis of system logs
  • In-depth knowledge of software testing tools, methodologies, and principles
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience in relationship and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated management and leadership capability

You must be

  • Willing to work on client sites, potentially for extended periods.
  • Willing to travel for work purposes and be happy to stay away from home for extended periods.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.
