Purpose of Role : 
As Sr Technical Sales Engineer within the New Units Gas Engines Commercial Operations Team your role is
(i) to support regional sales and commercial teams with the creation of proposals utilizing Jenbacher Reciprocating Gas Engines & Balance of a plant equipment (BoP) and
(ii) to participate in the negotiation of such solutions and proposals with customers and suppliers with specific focus on the Data Center (DC) market. You will contribute to the order intake in the region by adhering to the risk management process.
Essential Responsibilities :
Tools and Processes
• Use and maintain sales tools
• Lead the proposal creation process with all relevant support funcions.
• Review customer specifications (Request for proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI)) and offer suitable Jenbacher solutions toghether with the Application, Commercial and support functions (Engineering, Sourcing, Project Management) .
• Support the sales team with the proposal process generating and organizing the customer bid.
• Follow the defined risk management process (commercial / technical)
• Lead & Initiate „risk reviews“ for the proposals.
Bid preparation
• Use standardized sales documents (e.g. country-specific price lists, specifications, …)
• Updated and maintain technical data for the Data center application
• Develop customer proposals with focus on Data centers (prevailing market specifications and data)
• Create project specific technical & commecial offers / calculations / configurations / handover doc., etc. with the support of an ERP system
• Prepare detailed and accurate pricing estimates and factor client’s budget into the estimates. Feedback
• Check technical conformity of our products and confirmity with customer specification.
• Feed back potential product, document and process adaptions according to country-specific requirements.
Collaboration 
• Update and maintain supplier specifications together with the Application engineers and Sourcing
• Provide support to the regional sourcing teams and participate in negotiations with suppliers and customers.
• Close collaboration with the HQ Data center team to get updates on the latest product developments and provide feedback to the Product line to ensure correct product development for the North American region.
Qualification Requirements : 
• Experience in drafting customer proposals
• Experience working in cross functional teams and multinational environments.  
• 3-5 years of experience in related industries, preferably in power generating industry and/or Data Center industry.
• Good Interpersonal and Communication skills. 
• Accustomed to working with minimal supervision and in a process orientated environment
• Capability to support and train regional teams
• Willingness to travel to customer meetings and attend Data Center specific exhibitions
(total travel time estimated at 30%-40%)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
