Senior Technical Project Manager

Guadalajara, Mexico

We are looking for an engaging Senior Technical Project Manager to expand our Brightcove video delivery team. Brightcove delivers petabytes of video every day, and you will be a key leader in operating our CDN infrastructure. As an experienced Project Manager, you will build repeatable processes and systems of record to ensure accurate, maintainable CDN delivery that can be tuned to unique customer needs.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Partner and collaborate with multiple software teams to ensure high-quality video delivery through our CDN partners.
  • Catalog and manage all Brightcove CDN origins (Live and VOD) and certificates.
  • Maintain and coordinate customer-specific customizations of CDN configurations.
  • Lead CDN partner purchasing for short and long-term contracts.
  • Ensure accurate billing and cost allocation for CDN usage across Brightcove customers and engineering teams.
  • Lead migration projects to ensure Brightcove customers are using the best possible encoding and delivery workflows.

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, technology management, business management or similar.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in software development within a SaaS Software tech environment.
  • Must have critical skills: communication skills, leadership, ability to motivate and influence others without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical thinking; Ability to collect, assess, and interpret data while reporting back to various internal audiences
  • Ability to collaborate with software and IT engineers as well as management, creating artifacts specific to each audience.
  • Experience in software product engineering, deployment, and integration.
  • Demonstrated experience in escalation and risk management.
  • Experience with standard office applications (ie, Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
  • Experience with Atlassian products: Jira and Confluence.
  • Positive attitude and high collaborator with a passion for relationship building, creative thinking and problem solving, and making an impact.
