Position Summary
The Senior Technical Data Integrations Engineer has the responsibility of designing and implementing applications for various tasks using the Spring framework and Integration Engines like Iguana or Mirth. The engineer reports to the Sr Dir. for the Platform Product Integration team and is responsible for specific tasks as outlined under responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for middleware, Integration Engine (Iguana) and database coding for the purpose of ingesting and providing data to internal and external facilities using a variety of technologies including RESTful web services, HL7 ingestion through MLLP or FHIR, Integration Engine and CCDA ingestion and parsing
- Conduct thorough testing of services to ensure data integrity and code stability
- Ensure software operates ideally across a range of conditions by testing areas such as throughput, response time, queuing ability, and error handling.
- Work with a small team to design and build software applications to function within our platform
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 7 years working as a professional Java developer
- 2-5 years' relevant work experience as an Integration Engineer in the Healthcare\IDN space
- Strong experience with HL7 c2.3, FHIR, API's usage
- Minimum 4 years' experience with integrating on-premise to Cloud-based systems (e.g. Web APIs. etc.).
- Minimum 2 years' experience using Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Experience with scripting languages (Lua, Python, R, etc.)

Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in the following:
- Integration Engines like Iguana/Mirth

Foundational Java
- Spring Framework
- Spring RESTful framework
- HL7
- FHIR
- API
- Hibernate is preferred, but not required
- Healthcare experience is required
