We are now looking for a Senior Technical Content Creator to join us. This role can work from our Manchester, UK HQ, or sit remotely across the UK or Ireland.

The Matillion Academy is a data education platform that was born with the goal of developing the best ETL and data learning experience for our customers and partners.

The Senior Technical Content Creator will help to create and manage the content on the Matillion Academy, analysing data and feedback to ensure the courseware and certification offering stay relevant. You will work within the Product team and with the wider technical teams at Matillion to develop the Matillion Academy into a market-leading resource to deliver the best training experience for Matillion's customers and partners.

What you will be doing

  • Creating specialised data content for our ETL products and leading the technical process to make sure our certifications programs are up to date and relevant within today’s tech market
  • Designing and maintaining our product’s content for our recently launched public training program
  • Review and curate technical content material for Matillion Academy, public and private training programs
  • Manage and maintaining the Matillion Certification program
  • Review ETL and data content solutions designed by our Solution Architects
  • Prioritising content to be released based on evidence collated through collaborative discussions
  • Data problem solving in order to break down a large initiative into minimum viable changes
  • Discuss & evaluate technical architecture recommendations from data professionals

What we are looking for

  • Capable of understanding our ETL products and the value of their features
  • Understanding real world data problems and leading a collaborative ideation process to brainstorm content design
  • Able to gain actionable insights and feedback from customers in addition to validating any potential solutions
  • Excellent written English, with accurate editing and proofreading skills, ideally with demonstrable experience of written documentation
  • Ability to extrapolate technical discussions
  • Able to evaluate the competitive landscape, products and capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, as this is what our products are based on, in order to help design content
  • Excellent at delivering product demonstrations from a real world perspective, communicating the value added
  • Able to produce scripts and videos highlighting new functionality
  • Able to educate and advise the Product Marketing & Solution Architecture team on new features

At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is £36,000 - £49,500, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
