AHEAD is searching for an Exchange Engineer to be a part of our DCS East One Microsoft team. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight. This position will report to and receive direction from the DCS and East One leadership
Roles and Responsibilities
- Utilizes a variety of technology tools and procedures to successfully complete customer projects with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform customer Exchange migrations from On-Premise Exchange to M365 along with Tenant to Tenant Migrations.
- Create as built documentation for the customers environment.
- Communicate, internally and externally, the status of the projects and expected completion dates.
- Meet project timelines for completion and customer satisfaction.
- Be able to configure and troubleshoot Hybrid Exchange and Active Directory to Entra sync.
- Work with Project Managers to help guide the customer’s project to a successful outcome.
- Ensure that clients’ infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted Microsoft best practices.
- Manage customer expectations regarding the project outcome and alert the Project Manager and Technical Lead if there is a potential impact to the project.
- Manage and exceed Customer expectations.
- Complete yearly training plan objectives and relevant certifications.
- Clear understanding on Exchange operations and mail flow.
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and formulate a resolution.
- Ability to work within a team setting and contribute to overall team success.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems experience. Unique education, specialized experience, skills, knowledge, training, or certification may be substituted for education
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Intermediate certifications in Microsoft 365 or Exchange preferred.
- Subject matter expertise in Exchange, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Strong understanding of cloud and on-prem technologies.
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general technical best practices.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
