Senior Talent, PR and Events Exec

You will play a huge part in ensuring ASOS’s PR and influencer marketing is best in class. With a totally refreshed approach, you’ll be a key player in defining how ASOS works with core media and talent in the content and event spaces. This is to raise awareness of ASOS across new touchpoints and elevate our brand on our various channels for our customers in all territories. The Senior Talent, PR and Events Executive will work across multiple projects; but with a primary focus on relationship building, creating engaging press and influencer activations, and supporting with fulfilling content briefs that serve brand growth through excellent, engaging brand content that resonates with fashion loving 20 somethings.

You’ll manage a media and talent roster (including VIP’s), that you will service end to end, from sourcing new talent for ASOS, supporting media requests, gifting, brand onboarding, hosting at events and supporting on campaign fulfilment. You will additionally support with conceptualising and executing creative and impactful event activations (including international trips) that inspire brand connection and engagement. It will be your responsibility to ensure that our core media and talent audience are obsessed with ASOS, have a great experience working with us, and always want to do more.

The Details

  • Support driving the development and roll-out of ASOS’s newly reimagined global PR and talent strategy.
  • Relationship management – working with a broad remit of industry contacts, ranging across but not limited to, media contacts, stylists, talent agents, talent themselves and internal stakeholders to always ensure our external content approach is in line with our target audience.
  • Support with concepting and executing creative and impactful event activations (including international trips) that inspire connections and engagement between our brand and our key press and talent contacts.
  • Support on servicing media requests that are relevant for the ASOS consumer.
  • Lead on concepting fun and engaging PR activity, campaign execution and post campaign reporting.
  • Support with end-to-end talent management including but not limited to: Talent briefing, talent negotiation, closing a deal, contracting, reporting, and ensuring all content is posted within schedule.
  • Building a credible and culturally relevant VIP roster that can be engaged for ad hoc projects, media ops, dressing and event opportunities.
  • Support managing the ASOS press showroom appointment schedule to facilitate relationship building, product seeding, events, and content servicing from a designated in-house space.
  • Understand the needs of each project to identify and present fresh, relevant ideas, specifically with talent that align with the brand to key stakeholders on a project-by-project basis.
  • Practice and enforce the use of our talent management platform to ensure all content briefs are accurately serviced and administered through the relevant business tools.
  • Lead on business reporting on talent led activations that support wider marketing function.  
  • Support strategy development of how to build and grow ASOS’ talent community to maximise results, including ASOS’ upcoming owned brand ambassador programme.
  • Liaising with peer level and above across the business and externally to ensure proactive and effective delivery of department / function related processes and project briefs.
  • Analytical post campaign business reporting on PR and talent led activations that support wider marketing function.
  • Co-ordinate budgets with the internal IP team / core project teams to ensure budget spends remain within forecast.

About You

  • An enthusiastic team player with a genuine obsession for all things content related. Especially in the remit of VIPs, talent, and content creators.
  • Existing relationships and contacts within the fashion and beauty media landscape, VIP, and talent space.
  • Experience working directly with media, talent, and agents across a spectrum of project briefs ranging from organic to sponsored.
  • Negotiating experience is preferred.
  • A deep understanding of media and social media landscapes. Particularly UK fashion and beauty media, and Instagram, TikTok and YouTube social platforms.
  • Fully immersed in youth culture and digital trends. 
  • Harbouring a real interest in the development of the digital media and social media landscapes.
  • Impeccable organisation skills, and the ability to keep projects moving and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Management skills to oversee the instruction and development of junior team members.
  • Ability to act as an ambassador for the ASOS brand in all capacities.
  • An interest in fashion, trends, and pop culture our 20-something audience love.
