Senior Talent Operations Specialist

Remote

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom around the world, and we couldn’t do this without hiring the best people. We’re a group of hard-working overachievers who are deeply focused on building the future of finance and Web3 for our users across the globe, whether they’re trading, storing, staking or using crypto. Know those people who always lead the group project? That’s us.

There are a few things we look for across all hires we make at Coinbase, regardless of role or team. First, we look for candidates who will thrive in a culture like ours, where we default to trust, embrace feedback, and disrupt ourselves. Second, we expect all employees to commit to our mission-focused approach to our work. Most importantly, we seek people who are excited about crypto, because those are the folks who enjoy the intense moments in our sprint and recharge work culture. We’re a remote-first company looking to hire the absolute best talent all over the world.

Who you are:

  • You’ve got positive energy. You’re optimistic about the future and determined to get there.
  • You’re never tired of learning. You want to be a pro in bleeding edge tech like DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and Web 3.0.
  • You appreciate direct communication. You’re both an active communicator and an eager listener - because let’s face it, you can’t have one without the other. You’re cool with candid feedback and see every setback as an opportunity to grow.
  • You can pivot on the fly. Crypto is constantly evolving, so our priorities do, too. What you worked on last month may not be what you work on today, and that excites you. You’re not looking for a boring job.
  • You have a “can do” attitude. Our teams create high-quality work on quick timelines. Owning a problem doesn’t scare you, but rather empowers you to take 100% responsibility for achieving our mission.
  • You want to be part of a winning team. We’re stronger together, and you’re a person who embraces being pushed out of your comfort zone.

The Talent Programs team at Coinbase is responsible for defining our hiring strategy & processes, and keeping the recruiting engine running efficiently and with the highest quality. We partner cross-functionally daily with Talent, People Analytics, HR Tech and People Operations to bring our programs and initiatives to life. We don’t just wait for things to happen; we are always looking around the corner and taking action. Innovation is our game; we're always searching for smart, practical ways to do better work. When the unexpected hits, we're on it, tackling problems head-on.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Make hiring better and more efficient: work on ways to elevate our hiring quality and make our hiring process smoother.
  • Use data to guide decisions: partner with our People Analytics team to figure out the best ways to track how well we're doing in hiring and where the trouble areas are.
  • Stay on top of how we’re doing and fix the gaps: define and run the right forums to review the health of our operations, and define actions needed to address gaps and opportunities identified.
  • Plan our team’s capacity smartly: ensure we’re effectively set up to deliver on our commitments as hiring demands shift quickly. Advise Talent leaders on resourcing strategies.
  • Create leverage for the team: join forces with People Ops to transition work appropriately, collaborating on process redesign & conducting QA

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 4+ years experience managing projects, programs, and/or operational cadence deliverables
  • 2+ years of experience leading impactful programs and delivering results with clear success metrics
  • Demonstrated experience taking a project/program from inception to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders
  • Highly motivated to try new things and not afraid to challenge common practices
  • Proven experience utilizing data and feedback to develop new and/or innovate existing processes
  • Ability to adapt communication style to reach various audiences and build deep relationships with people from a range of backgrounds
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure, both autonomously and in team environments
  • Embraces the use of innovative tools and solutions such as generative AI to optimize the process and drive high impact outcomes

Nice to haves:

  • Project Management Experience
